A graduate of École des Gobelins in Photography and ENSAAMA in Art and Graphic Design, Ella Bats is a French artist whose practice lies at the intersection of experimental photography and visual art. She creates images by layering and blending multiple visual elements, altering and reconstructing the photograph to reveal the multidimensional nature of her subjects. Each image becomes a living surface, a space of transformation where the invisible takes shape through colour, light, form and texture.

Alongside her artistic practice, Ella Bats collaborates with prestigious institutions and houses including Hermès, Louis Vuitton, La Samaritaine, Mobilier National, Alain Ducasse and Château d’Esclans.

Her work has been exhibited in France and internationally, including at the International Festival of Fashion, Photography and Accessories at Villa Noailles in Hyères, Palais Brongniart in Paris as part of Tranoï, the Paul Smith space in London, PH21 Gallery in Budapest, as well as in Berlin, Yokohama and Moscow.

In 2025, she was also selected as a finalist for the Picto Fashion Photography Award and received the Agents Associés Young Talent Award.
