Joséphine Vallé Franceschi

Originally from Cap Corse, Joséphine Vallé Franceschi lives and works in Paris. After preparatory classes for the French competitive entrance exams (Hypokhâgne and Khâgne) and graduating with degrees in literature and film from the Sorbonne, she directed her first short film, Amiante, in 2013. Her photographs reflected the colors of Italy, where she lived between 2011 and 2013, while coordinating the film events at the Villa Medici and the Palazzo Farnese. She has worked as a script reader for the CNC (National Center for Cinema and the Moving Image), France 2 Cinéma, and various production companies. She exhibits regularly in Paris and Italy, directs advertising campaigns, and travels to create new series.

Through a technique that allows several analog photographs to be superimposed in the same print, Joséphine Vallé Franceschi constructs dreamlike landscapes that capture the essence of her native territory: the Mediterranean.
