Sophie van der Perre is a Belgian photographer and filmmaker, based between Amsterdam and Paris. Her work is guided by an intuitive search for emotion, intimacy, and atmosphere.

Working primarily with natural light, she creates images that are both fragile and timeless. Her practice navigates freely between fashion and documentary, often blurring the lines between the two. Rooted in analog photography and driven by a cinematic sensibility, Sophie captures silent and sincere moments that evoke memory, nostalgia, and human connection.

Alongside her photographic work, she is increasingly developing a film practice, paying the same attention to movement, rhythm, and emotion. Her images speak less of what is seen than of what is felt.
