A self-taught French photographer, Antoine Henault honed his skills through experimentation and instinct. He develops a body of work situated at the intersection of intuitive staging and candid moments, built around portraiture, gentleness, and an attention to the quiet intensity of individuals within their environment. He captures moments that appear both authentic and subtly orchestrated. His work skillfully explores color palettes—in harmony or contrast—to create atmospheres and reveal multi-layered narratives. In 2022, he won the Prix Picto, selected by Paolo Roversi, and the Musée National Eugène-Delacroix in Paris hosted his first exhibition, from the series Insolations.
A talented portraitist, Antoine Henault has a flair for composition: even his simplest portraits possess a masterful quality. As for landscapes, one is struck by the intensity of his colors, which transport us far away – to India or Senegal.
